Text on the monument:
In May 1992, at this location,
the "Keraterm" death camp
where over 3000 innocent citizens of Prijedor
were imprisoned, tortured or killed
was established.
By August 1992,
over 300 innocent people
were killed at the "Keraterm" camp or
were taken away never to return.
In memory of:
Prisoners of the Keraterm camp, civilians
Ethnic group: Predominantly Bosniaks, miscellaneous
Victims are from the area of: Local community
Location choice:
The actual site where the victims were killed, the former Keraterm camp, where over 300 people were killed or went missing (according to the records of the "Izvor" Association of Women from Prijedor, 372 prisoners were killed or went missing).
Dimensions: Stone slab 80 x 50 cm with a stone pedestal
Built by the means of:
"Izvor" Association of Women from Prijedor (families of those killed) with their own funds and from donations.
Authorship: Activists from the "Izvor" Association of Women from Prijedor
Commemorations: Annual commemoration on 24 July, organised group visits with presentations about the camp and individual visits with laying of flowers
Other information: "It was erected in memory of all victims from the camp, and the victims were from all three constitutive peoples as well as Roma and Albanians. The monument was erected for everyone equally and at the camp the victims were mostly Bosniaks (Muslims). "Direct quotation from questionnaire. Source: "Izvor" Association of Women from Prijedor
