* On one side of the monument:

Under the cover of night, on 8-9 September 1993,
members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Killed us thirty-three innocents,
Set fire to our homes,
Dug up our graves,
Stained the Neretva river with blood,
Claiming the crime as a righteous struggle
So that justice would not dawn
But God watches over us all
And calls people to love.
Innocent victims cry out:
Let justice and peace reign
in our land!
