The Memorial Room is located in one part of the former Luka Camp.



Dimensions: Warehouse 130 m², 20 x 6.5 m (ground floor and first floor)

Built by the means of:

Association of Camp Detainees of Brčko District and Association of Camp Detainees of BiH (The partition in the Memorial Room constructed by JP Luka Brčko.)


Authorship: d.o.o. ZIB “Projekt” BiH.

Monument changes:

Thee initial exhibition was designed by Ferid Redžić, president and member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Camp Detainees of BiH. D.o.o. ZIB "Projekt" BiH was selected to redesign the exhibition as it made the best offer.



Commemorations: 30 April - annual commemoration (the day the bridges were destroyed), 4 May - the day the mass killings started, 7 May - at the Luka Brčko camp. The Memorial Room is open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 16.00. Larger groups should make prior arrangements in order to provide for the screening of documentary material and an adequate lesson in history.

Other information: The local government of the Brčko District has not approved the mounting of a third plaque (currently located in the Memorial Room) because it contains the words: "aggression" and "Serb authorities established a camp at this site". In addition to the existing plaque, there is a plaque from the Second World War at the entrance. It reads: In December 1941, at this waterside, the evil Ustasha murdered the patriots and the innocent people of the Brčko town and county. NOR (People‘s Liberation War) City Council Brčko Plaque restored by "Pristanište" Brčko"
