Sworn enemies of the Serb people

and the blood of martyrs flowed

while the flames of a March night dwindled
and the black morning of Sijekovac dawned.

The Memorial Church is dedicated to St. Marina, a martyr, and is located at the site of a destroyed church that stood there before the war. The site where nine Serbs were killed on 26 March 1992 is close by.

Commemorations: A memorial service, organised by a committee of the Republic of Srpska government is held on 26 March in order to preserve the tradition of the liberation wars.
